I graduated as a Computer Scientist but I quickly became enamored with finance and investing. My journey to becoming a serious investor involved reading lots of books, until it became clear to me that I lacked an education in accounting, which is a critical skill needed to become a fundamental investor.

What followed was a near obsession to fill in all the gaps in my knowledge, so that:

1.) I could independently assess an investment opportunity rather than relying on brokerage reports or blindly cloning portfolios of other fundamental investors,

2.) I could avoid falling into the numerous traps one encounters in the markets

I will write here about companies as and when I analyse them. I don’t however write about all the companies I analyse, just the ones which I feel are interesting in some way.
